Who We Are

Cork Makeup Courses at Tiger Training Academy are VTCT recognised as one of Ireland’s Leading Course Providers. We take pride in our reputation and the support we provide our students.

As VTCT educators we are underpinned by leading industry insurers, enabling graduates to avail of professional Insurance and earn professional VTCT qualifications, which are recognised in over a 100 countries; with a higher affiliation than ITEC or FETEC. All courses can be payed monthly by instalments. TESG social welfare grants are accepted.

Our tutors are highly experienced and dedicated educators whose passion is to see graduates achieve the very highest standards within their chosen profession.

Our Story

Sinead started her make-up career in 2009 training alongside Nicola Carroll from smashbox in Cork Academy of make-up. It was then she discovered that this was her passion and decided to further her career. With the opening of Solo Hair Design, Cork’s 5 star salon, she was given the opportunity to shine. She went from part-time make-up artist to salon manager and realised her love for fashion, photoshoots and the creative side of make-up. She realised that to excel she would need to travel for proper training, attending master classes with celebrity artists like reiva Cruise Karla Powell and lessons with Illamasqua London and Temptu, Birmingham. Spotting a niche in the market in Cork for a higher standard of training that focuses on positive practical assignments and relevant industry experience she and partner David,established Tiger Training Academy. An Academy like no other, offering students full back up, continuous support & Sineads positive and motivational approach ensuring her students succeed in their chosen profession.

Avril Murray Educator

I have over 10yrs experience working in the beauty industry. Worked in various salons and spa’s over the years. I was a student myself at Tiger Training Academy and am now a trainer and skincare specialist.
Happy, Hard-working person who loves to learn. I have worked on music videos, festivals and ad campaigns for big production companies.

Shaunagh Brereton Educator

My name is Shaunagh, I’ve worked in the beauty industry over 5 years now. I started off as a beautician and then realised my passion was mainly make up and brows. I worked on make up counters before finally taking the plunge to freelance. I’ve been working as a tutor for tiger academy since 2017 and loved every minute of it! Tiger is the one place everyone feels like they belong, our students never truly leave us and we are their number one supporters. We try to make everything as simple and straight forward as possible while encouraging confidence and constantly support and motivate our students. We create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere in each class and nobody gets left behind.
